  • Disappointing
  • I bought one of these in an effort to keep the starlings away from my regular feeders. I also bought two more as gifts. They arrived today and I'm extremely disappointed in them. They're expensive for the size, which is ridiculously small, and hardly hold any bird food at all. However, the feeding holes are so large that I'm waiting for an eagle to turn up and start feeding...... They're difficult to clean by hand ( though said to be dishwasher safe) and quite frankly, I wouldn't want to put a bird feeder in the dishwasher with my crockery. They're also difficult to fill, which will have to be done daily because of the minute amount of feed they hold. All in all, not worth the money and extremely impractical. Caveat emptor.

  • Gave one of these to my parents-in-law for Xmas 2011 who are in a first floor flat. They love it! Apparently the birds took some time to get used to it, helped by a tray of birdfood left on the exterior windowsill. They put mixed birdseed in the tray (outside the feeder) and peanuts inside the feeder and now get robins, coaltits, great tits, blue tits and even shy chaffinches coming to feed from the feeder. They have lots of fun watching them feed from just a couple of feet away and have got to know personally all the birds who are regulars.......a lovely present.

  • Sadly does not work. Had feeder attached to the window for nearly 2 months now and filled it with food recommended by a specialist store. Just 1 bird for a few seconds. Still see them flying around the trees at the other side of the garden but they do not come to the feeder.

  • Really good product...and the birds like it too.
    It does just what it says on the tin, it is a little awkward to fill but well worth it, to be honest seeing the birds on the fround feeding is a bonus anyway.

  • The feeder is smaller than you'd think but is fine for the smaller birds. Just make sure it can't be accessed by squirrels otherwise you might find it on the ground!

  • I brought two of these as gifts for my father and partner. Worth it alone for the smiles on their faces at the sight of the creator, Monsieur Pascale Charmolu, staring pensively back at them from the side of the box. I was surprised at how well the things stick. No birds as yet, but I'm sure they'll notice soon enough!

  • This bird feeder works well ( once we had worked out how to assemble it, with no instructions provided!) It stays on the window, gives birds somewhere to perch as they eat, and enables us to watch at close quarters. As yet the squirrels have not discovered a way of reaching it.
